Santa Clara Square® is a 100-acre master-planned community that brings together office, retail and residential living in a sustainable live-work-play community. Its Marketplace, an approximately 125,000-square-foot specialty shopping center, is scheduled to open in the second half of 2016. The center has added two fine dining restaurants, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar and Il Fornaio, to the growing selection of dining options.
Dave Moore, president of Irvine Company retail properties, tells Globest.com: “We saw a unique opportunity to bring something fresh to the dining scene in Santa Clara and we’re excited to bring Fleming’s and Il Fornaio to Santa Clara Square® Marketplace. Residents and office workers have been hungry for something new. These highly regarded restaurants will be a great destination for midday or evening gatherings with colleagues, friends or family.”
The new Fleming’s will be set in a sophisticated, lively and inviting atmosphere. Renowned for its steakhouse fare, Fleming’s is equally celebrated for the Fleming’s 100, its wine program that features 100 wines available by the glass or bottle.
“This is our first restaurant in Santa Clara and we are excited to be a part of the community,” said Skip Fox, president of Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar. “We look forward to bringing Santa Clara residents an opportunity to enjoy a premium dining experience with expertly prepared steaks and 100 wines by the glass.”
Il Fornaio will provide guests with a truly authentic Italian experience. It offers a wide variety of Italian food paired with great wines and craft cocktails. Designed by Arcanum Architects of San Francisco, the Il Fornaio interior will evoke a modern Tuscan farmhouse, similar to the look and feel of it most recent opening in Woodland Hills, CA in 2015. This is Il Fornaio’s 23rd location.
“Santa Clara Square® Marketplace is the perfect location for the next Il Fornaio,”said Michael Beatrice, president and COO of Il Fornaio. “It’s in the heart of the Silicon Valley, close to Levi’s Stadium and convention center, and it’s one of the few remaining neighborhoods on the Peninsula that doesn’t have a lot of full-service restaurants.”
The latest additions will join the center’s anchor tenant, Whole Foods Market, the organic and natural grocer opening a 50,000-square-foot flagship store at Santa Clara Square® Marketplace opening this fall.
“We look forward to announcing additional top brands that will be coming to Santa Clara Square® Marketplace in the near future,” added Moore.”
