The San Diego market is coming back stronger than most other US markets, says David Marino, executive vice president at Hughes Marino. “Since COVID started, the tech and biotech industries have signed more than five million square feet of leases,” he says, noting this growth is primarily in Torrey Hills, Sorrento Mesa, UTC, and Del Mar Heights.
Marino earned recognition as Broker of the Quarter for his recent 17,000 sq. ft. new lease deal with PNC Bank at Paseo Del Mar, which offers the kinds of amenities customers are looking for right now, he says. The workplace features WiFi-enabled outdoor workspaces, an on-site fitness center and café, and is in close proximity to premier dining, shopping, and entertainment.
It’s the service his customers receive that really matters, though. “When I place a customer in an Irvine Company workplace, I know they are going to have a great experience, with excellent operations and maintenance,” says Marino.
Marino has had a longstanding partnership with Irvine Company, and has earned the recognition of Broker of the Year every year since 2005. His extensive experience includes more than 2,000 transactions totaling more than 15 million square feet completed since 1991.
Here’s to an exciting future and a continued partnership, David. Congratulations on earning this distinguished honor.
